Eccentron
The Eccentron is an eccentric resistance training system (100% negative resistance) that induces rapid strength responses while exercising in a comfortable, recumbent position. By resisting the motorized pedals, clients can work at their own sub-maximal levels without the strength or stability required to concentrically push weights. This unique design means a wide variety of clients can benefit such as balance, mobility-impaired, general rehab, cardio-pulmonary, ACL, TKA, Achilles to high performance athletes. There is no other product on the market that functions like an Eccentron.
- Unique Eccentric Resistance Exercises on the Eccentron
- Positive, objective feedback that is motivational and verifies progress
- Targets the Glutes, Hamstrings and Quads and more
- Patients come back as they can’t do this at any other exercise facility
“The results are clear: the Eccentron achieves higher muscle activation across all muscle groups than all four exercises. The study compares muscle activation of the quadriceps, gastrocnemius, hip adductors, and hamstrings
during certain eccentric exercises. These exercises include: use of the Eccentron, toe raise, stability ball leg curl, side lift, and decline board leg extension. The Eccentron showed an average muscle activation of 60.4%, while the next highest exercise, side raises, showed 43.2%. The data strongly points to the Eccentron as the most efficient eccentric exercise in delivering muscle activation.”
